2023 Summer Reading Challenge
Reading Makes You a Happy Camper

The New Carlisle Public Library's Summer Reading Challenge encourages readers to explore the world through reading and get out in the great outdoors!  Go on an adventure in the pages of a book or take the adventure outside:  from camping to crafts, it's time to try something new.  We will have lots of FREE programs for kids, teens and adults, including puppets, magic, live snakes, and more!

Daisy's Reading Club
If you are tired of reading logs and Beanstack, we want to offer you a super simple option this year:  Daisy's Reading Club.  In June and July, for every week that you read or listen to stories, you can come to the library and spin our prize wheel!  It's that simple!  You do not have to track your reading or write anything down.  Mrs. Strader & Daisy, a trained therapy dog, will visit the library three times this summer.  You can visit with them and talk about what you are reading.  Maybe Daisy will do some tricks!  

Bingo Reading and Activity Cards
If you enjoy paper reading logs, visit the library and pick up a log.  You'll find logs for kids on a giant grizzly bear in the Children's Library and logs for teens on a giant Sasquatch.  When you complete a bingo, a row in any direction, come in and spin our prize wheel!   Teens win when they reach the Sasquatch in the cave and get a "thumb's up."  There is a limit of five spins each week.  

Beanstack for the Biggest Prizes
If you're interested in REALLY BIG SUMMER READING PRIZES, make sure to create an account on Beanstack.  Log your reading and activities in June and July to earn virtual tickets!  You can spend your virtual tickets in prize drawings inside Beanstack.  The more tickets you enter, the greater your chance of winning a prize.  The Beanstack system automatically picks a winner for each prize on August 1st.
